Tomorrow … the start of the 29th meeting of the Council "Erina" In Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, September 10 / WAM / The International Renewable Energy Agency “IRENA” announced the start of the twenty -ninth meeting of the Agency Council tomorrow in Abu Dhabi for two days.
More than 400 government officials from Irina, who include 169 countries and the European Union, will meet to provide the strategic guidance of the agency’s work program and discuss the urgent issues that constitute the path of global energy transformation today.
The most prominent major events of the meeting include discussion of energy security programs, exploring tracks to diversify supply chains, support the following generation technologies, as well as enhance regional manufacturing capabilities.
The meeting also includes a review of the latest agency’s analyzes about the advanced geopolitical and economic scene of renewable energy supply chains, focusing in particular on the solar PV sector.
His Excellency Francisco Shakun Hernandez, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, as President of the “IRina” Council in its twenty -ninth session, said that the agency is a successful and comprehensive tool for a large and varied group of countries in its endeavor to find solutions to achieve a sustainable future energy, pointing to the role of Costa Rica as head of the meeting in developing topics such as Energy transforms, carbon removal, and renewable energy sources at the forefront of its goals and ideas.
Franchisco, La Camera, Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency “IRENA”, explained that the various, flexible and transparent supply chains are an essential element to achieve the goal of doubling the capacity of renewable energy three times by 2030, adding that the shift towards renewable energy sources is a major empowerment factor for energy security and independence, and that global supply chains are still concentrated in a few countries.
He stressed the importance of efforts to diversify these chains to deal with complex economic facts, which makes the 29th meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency Council “IRIA” an important opportunity to enhance this collective dialogue and make progress in this debate.
Erina members will discuss strengthening investments in sustainable aviation fuel, which the agency considers an essential component of carbon removal from long -range flights, and the agency will review its latest efforts in supporting sustainable aviation fuel projects and mobilizing investments through its financing platforms, and helping countries and developers to move with these projects from the stage of ideas to the stage of financing and then implementation.
The meeting will conclude by setting the future work priorities for “Irina”, the main institutional issues, and preparations for the thirtieth session of the Council.
