Dubai, December 12, 2017 – The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships Initiative announced the start of registration for its academic programs, which begin in March 2026, in cooperation with an elite group of universities and academic institutions regionally and globally, with the aim of enhancing the readiness of the UAE government for the next decade by preparing qualified government cadres to keep pace with the requirements of the future and lead the files of economic growth, digital transformation, and policy making based on knowledge and innovation.
The initiative includes a package of government initiatives, and its first projects include scholarships to study both the master’s program in economic strategies and international policies, and the master’s program in artificial intelligence in the government sector. Those wishing to join the programs can register through the website www.mbrgs.ae, noting that the last date for registration is December 28.
The “Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships” initiative provides the opportunity to join the academic master’s program in applied artificial intelligence, in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, which is one of the best 20 universities in the world in the field of artificial intelligence. This program is the first of its kind and was developed exclusively for government professionals, and combines the applied practical and advanced academic aspects, and includes intensive practical laboratories, hackathons, lectures presented by visiting specialists, and supportive skills related to the sector, Most sessions are held in the evenings during the weekend at the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence campus in Abu Dhabi, and studies are scheduled to begin in March 2026, for a period of 24 months.
Those enrolled in this program will be able to build advanced practical skills to design sustainable solutions using artificial intelligence and launch initiatives based on it, enhance the capabilities of data analysis, critical thinking and solving complex problems for leadership roles, apply artificial intelligence across industry, research and development, and vital government agencies, and lead multidisciplinary teams, in addition to contributing to strategic national goals and benefiting from the “Mohamed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence” research community and its network.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships Initiatives also announced the Master of Science in Economics academic program, in cooperation with New York University Abu Dhabi, and this program will be presented as part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships Initiative.
Study in its courses begins in March 2026, for a period of: 18 months, in addition to 7 weeks of preparatory courses. It provides an opportunity to learn at the hands of a world-class faculty at New York University. It combines theoretical foundations with realistic projects and applied courses, and begins with introductory courses that include courses tailored to the needs of each student group.
The program enables those enrolled in it to master advanced analytical and quantitative tools to understand complex economic issues, transform theory into practice through applied courses, a graduation project under academic supervision, direct interaction with reality, enhance critical thinking and influential communication to transform visions into decisions, and gain a global perspective through NYU’s global network and faculty members.
Among the programs for which the initiative announced the start of registration is the Oxford Executive Diploma in Artificial Intelligence for Business, in cooperation with the University of Oxford – Saeed Business School, and studies in this program begin as of March 2026, for a period of one year. The program will include new components developed exclusively for the “Mohammed bin Rashid Government Missions” initiative, to develop government professionals, and allows students to acquire skills to transform artificial intelligence into a strategic advantage, through four intensive units in Oxford and Dubai, and links innovation in artificial intelligence with realistic transformation in the business world, and is distinguished by providing… A flexible, part-time study format designed for experienced executives.
The program represents an opportunity to understand the foundations of artificial intelligence, realize its potential and limitations, acquire skills for transforming artificial intelligence concepts into influential strategies in various sectors, and develop a responsible and ethical approach to making data-driven decisions, in addition to joining a global network of executive leaders and Oxford graduates who are shaping the future of artificial intelligence in the business world.
The first project of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships” initiative aims to empower promising national competencies in government agencies at the state level, by enrolling in advanced academic programs in cooperation with a number of the highest international universities, the most efficient in the fields of design, management and innovation of economic strategies, international policies and artificial intelligence in the government sector, according to the latest international rankings of universities for the year 2026, and assessing their academic excellence and experience in designing programs directed to government leaders.”
The first project of the initiative allows all government agencies to nominate promising national competencies to study both the master’s program in economic strategies and international policies and the master’s program in applied artificial intelligence in the government sector, with the aim of empowering a group of national competencies in government agencies at the state level, by enrolling in advanced academic programs in cooperation with local and international universities.
The specialized programs that the candidates will study contribute to building deep capabilities in the fields of economic policies and artificial intelligence, which enhances the readiness of government cadres to keep pace with the requirements of the future, and enables them to contribute effectively to leading the files of economic growth, digital transformation, and policy making based on knowledge and innovation, while new program tracks are scheduled to be developed and announced annually.
The initiative’s first projects are being implemented in partnership with a number of distinguished local and international universities in the field of studying economic policies and artificial intelligence, based on the international classification of universities, in addition to evaluating their academic excellence and experience in designing programs directed to government leaders, to design high-level academic and applied content that is commensurate with the nature of government work and its future challenges.
