The President of the State and the Sultan of Oman discuss in Salalah the relations of the two countries and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, discussed with his brother His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Sultan of Oman … brotherly relations and various aspects of cooperation and joint work between the two countries, and ways to advance them in a way that serves their mutual interests and contributes to achieving their aspirations towards further progress and development.

This came during the reception of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq today, his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the accompanying delegation in the framework of the brotherly visit made by His Highness to the Sultanate.

His Majesty the Sultan welcomed his brother, His Highness the President of the State – during the meeting that took place in the Palace of Al -Hosn in Salalah – where they exchanged friendly conversations that express the depth of historical relations and the established brotherly ties that bring together the leadership of the two countries and their two brotherly peoples.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and the qualitative development they are witnessing in its various paths … affirming their common keenness to continue to enhance their cooperation and push it towards welcoming horizons in a way that benefits their people.

The meeting also touched on the developments taking place in the region, foremost of which is the Israeli attack on the lands of the sisterly State of Qatar .. And His Highness the President of the State and His Majesty the Sultan of Oman renewed the condemnation of the two countries this attack .. stressing their solidarity with Qatar and its support in all its measures that would protect its security, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.

The two sides stressed that the Israeli attacks on the State of Qatar represent a violation of the sovereignty of states, a violation of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.

The two sides also reviewed the march of joint Gulf action, stressing the two countries’ keenness to enhance the bonds of Gulf integration and support everything that would enhance the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council and deepen the ties of brotherly cooperation between its countries, and achieve the aspirations of its peoples and their hopes of progress and prosperity … in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern and exchange views on them.

His Highness the President of the State affirmed during the meeting … that the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman have deep historical brotherly relations, not only at the political or economic level but also at the social and cultural levels … indicating that His Highness is that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed played a fundamental and historical role in establishing brotherhood and love between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples .. and we continue this approach … Omani is always a model of understanding, mutual respect, and cooperation in goodness and prosperity … for our country and the region.

His Highness also expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Haitham for the good reception and the generous hospitality he received and the accompanying delegation during the visit.

It was also attended by the Omani side, His Highness Sayyed Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, His Highness Sayyid Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, His Highness Sayyid Balas Arab bin Haitham Al Said, and a number of ministers and senior officials.
