211.3 billion dirhams of the state’s government spending in the first half

The government spending – which includes federal spending, added to its counterpart at the level of each of the seven emirates – recorded 211.3 billion dirhams, during the first half of this year, compared to 189 billion dirhams during the same period last year, an increase of 22.3 billion dirhams, equivalent to a growth of 11.8%.
Data issued by the Ministry of Finance yesterday showed that the government expenditures in the first half were distributed to several basic items, the first of which is spending on goods and services, with a value of 65.5 billion dirhams, followed by the second place compensation for workers in the local government and federal sector of salaries, benefits and others, with a value of 64.9 billion dirhams, then spending on social benefits of 37 billion dirhams, while the rest of the rest were distributed Spending on financial subsidies and grants, consuming fixed capital, interest, and other expenses.
On the total revenue aspect, during the first half of this year, 265 billion dirhams, compared to 263.8 billion dirhams during the same period last year, an increase of 1.2 billion dirhams.
The government revenues collected from several sources, the first of which is the tax of 163.4 billion dirhams, to constitute 61.6% of the total revenues, then other revenues of 92.8 billion dirhams, while the revenues arising from societal contributions came at a value of 8.8 billion dirhams.
