The conclusion of the first week of the 28th World Postal Federation Conference

Dubai, September 13/ WAM/ The work of the 28th World Postal Federation – Dubai 2025, which is hosted by the UAE under the slogan “Leadership of Change for the Future Industry”, was concluded yesterday, with the participation of delegations from 192 member states in the World Postal Union.
The week was a station for determining priority issues and building an international consensus on the most prominent files that will be adopted in the conference and prepared to approve the Federation’s strategy for the period 2026-2029, which will bear the name “Dubai Strategy”, and the first week witnessed high -level work sessions, among them the Global Leadership Summit of the Global Postal Union that established an ambitious agenda for the future of the postal and logistical sector, and focused on accelerating digital transformation By adopting artificial intelligence technologies and innovative solutions for e -commerce, and discussing the importance of developing governance and legislation in line with variables and ensuring integrated operation at the level of global networks, it also dealt with sustainability issues and enhancing the efficiency of supply chains and financial inclusion and empowering postal and financial services and others.
The UAE has emerged during the first week as a driving force for the conference, as the delegation represented by the state led strategic meetings on the future of postal and logistical services, stressing the importance of building integrated networks that allow the exchange of data and simplifying e -commerce operations and supports sustainable development goals.
With the end of the first week, delegations are prepared to move to the decisive stage of the conference that will witness the approval of the final decisions, the vote on the Dubai strategy and the election of members of the councils, in addition to completing the discussions on the implementation and follow -up mechanisms.
It is expected that the second week will lead to the announcement of a set of initiatives and bilateral agreements and multiple -end -of -parts that enhance international cooperation in the sector.
