A decision regulates the sale and ownership of the distinctive paintings for vehicles in Abu Dhabi

The Department of Municipalities and Transport issued an administrative decision regulating the sale and ownership of the numbers of distinctive paintings that are not owned by vehicles in Abu Dhabi, in a way that contributes to providing a transparent and easy mechanism that allows citizens and residents to obtain distinct numbers through simplified procedures, in line with the best organizational practices. The Integrated Transport Center will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the decision in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Vehicle numbers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi were classified into two categories: “distinctive numbers” and “non -distinctive numbers”, and the distinctive category includes the unilateral, dual, three and quadruple numbers, in addition to some five -year numbers according to specific conditions, which provides wide options for those who wish to own.

The decision allows any of the citizens of the state or its residents to own any number of vehicle numbers and ownership certificates, and the panel number can be transferred from possession to ownership after the completion of the ownership process, with the possibility of selling it or transferring it completely free to anyone and at any time, as well as the owner can choose if he wants to link the number with a vehicle or keep it in his traffic file. Moreover, you can have the current numbers by paying specific fees according to the degree of excellence, as a price has been set for each level of excellence.

The decision also stipulated that the distinguished numbers that were previously issued and recorded without being officially owned, can only be transferred or sold after proving their ownership, and this is excluded from transferring the possession of the numbers panel to one of the first -class relatives, including parents, siblings, husband, wife or children, according to the procedures approved by the integrated transportation center.

The center pointed out that, during the first phase of the application of the decision, the service can be used through personal attendance to the customer service centers, and the service will be subsequently provided via the “Tam” platform.

The center confirmed that the users of the vehicle’s vehicle boards will be notified without ownership through a text message, which includes the details of the value of ownership, provided that it becomes window once all legal requirements are met.
