Haiti – the Secretary -General condemns a brutal attack from the gangs

In a press release issued by his spokesman, Secretary -General Antonio Guterres offered his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Haiti.

The Secretary -General of the United Nations expressed concern about the levels of violence that strikes Haiti, and urged the Halet authorities to ensure that the perpetrators of these attacks and all human rights violations are brought to justice.

Antonio Guterres called on the United Nations member states to expedite the efforts to strengthen the multinational security support mission, by providing logistical arrangements, individuals and financing to help the National Police in Haiti effectively in dealing with gang violence with full respect for international humanitarian law.
