Self -supporters tell their experiences at a conference "We contain"
Sharjah, September 15 / WAM / The first day of the World Conference 2025, “We contain” witnessed a major session entitled “Experiences in the Employment of Self -Supports”, highlighted the success stories of people with mental disabilities who chose themselves their professional paths, and managed to prove their capabilities in various fields, whether through traditional jobs or through entrepreneurship.
The session was opened by Luis Gabriel Villarreal, Vice President of the International Human Humility Organization, stressing that soft employment means providing the opportunity for persons with disabilities to choose their jobs themselves, and work alongside others, while obtaining the necessary support, fair wage, and full equality.
He pointed out that everyone should be able to do what others do in the work environment, including choosing the workplace, seeking a “dream job”, or even establishing a special project.
The session emphasized that the experiences of the self -supporters constitute inspiring models, proving that programs and entrepreneurship are not limited to being a source of income, but rather a gateway to societal integration, enhancing self -confidence, and proving the ability of persons with disabilities to be active individuals and producers in their societies.
