The International Federation rewards clubs with 300 million euros in the World Cup 2026

The FIFA distributes the clubs that are being played for the World Cup in the team scheduled for next summer, 2026, 300 million euros (355 million dollars), i.e. more than 70 percent, which was distributed in the previous version in 2022 in Qatar, according to what was announced on Tuesday.
This decision comes within the framework of the memorandum of understanding that was renewed between FIFA and the European Clubs League, according to the Supreme Football Association, which stated in its statement, “The number of clubs benefiting from the World Cup will increase, where FIFA is preparing to implement a polite version of the profit distribution program on the clubs that expose its players to the 2026 version of the most prominent football event in the men’s football.”
“According to the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between FIFA and the European Clubs League, which was extended in March 2023, a total of $ 355 million will be dedicated to the clubs that are exposed to their players for the 2026 World Cup competitions.”
This program covers the players who were allowed to participate during the qualifiers, even if they do not participate in the World Funds scheduled for June 11 and 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
In the World Cup 2022, FIFA distributed the clubs of the 32 teams that fought $ 209 million in an initiative that affected 440 clubs “from 51 members of it,” according to what he said.
The 2026 World Cup will be the first version of 48 teams, with the number of matches from 64 to 104.
“The principles approved in the distribution of profits were modified in order to obtain a share of the Solidarity Fund for each club whose players participate directly in the competitions included in the 2026 World Cup (i.e. in the qualifiers and/or in the finals), knowing that this new approach means that any club that discharges a player from its players to participate in the World Cup qualifiers 2026 will get from now on direct compensation for that layoff, Regardless of the player later, the tournament finals are later or not.
“This new approach is an additional step in the way towards enhancing the level of solidarity aimed at finding a more fair and inclusive approach in redistributing resources to the various authorities concerned within the club football system globally.”
