Sharjah, September 17 / WAM / The Sharjah Economic Development Department issued its annual report for 2024 under the title “Sustainable Economy”.
The report reviewed the most important developments and events witnessed by the economic sectors and the procedures and efforts taken by the department in all sectors and activities in order to provide a comprehensive tool for dealers in the economic sectors in the emirate and introduce them to the most important results that it achieved in confirmation of its efforts aimed at supporting the business environment and enabling the investment to keep pace with the aspirations of the rational leadership and meet the aspirations of investors and entrepreneurs.

The department worked to issue the best annual reports and its comprehensiveness with the aim of documenting the achievements of economic development in the department and reflecting the statistics and data included in the report. The department is making it in the advancement of its tasks and its keenness on continuous development according to what its strategic goals and aspirations are required to provide distinguished economic services with burning determination, renewed giving and a firm approach.
For his part, His Excellency Fahd Ahmed Al -Khumiri, Director of the Economic Development Department in Sharjah, stressed that the results and statistics of the annual report of the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah for the year 2024 showed the success of the department in achieving exceptional growth in the targets of accelerating economic activities of all kinds after 71318 economic licenses were issued and renewed by a growth rate of 7 % compared to the previous year, which reflects the continuation of Confidence in the business environment and diversification of targeted sectors.
Al -Khumairi said that the department is constantly seeking to provide many facilities that contribute to enhancing the continuity of development in various fields, which enhances the durability of the economic and industrial sectors, while the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah continues to work on a number of sectors and development axes and not only economic activities through the continuous development of the business environment and the use of the latest systems and technologies such as the smart investor and the application of government accelerators and continuing to adopt quality systems to manage business continuity that guarantees Quality performance of digital services in the business environment.

The first chapter of the report dealt with the issue of investments, issued and renewed business licenses, empowering businesswomen, and an attractive environment for foreign ownership, and the second chapter highlighted competitiveness, economic sustainability and investment attraction, and the third chapter dealt with the subject of markets, control and commercial protection, while the fourth and fifth semesters dealt with the digital aspect and communication and for the sixth semester of the report, he addressed the development, and the seventh chapter was devoted to human cadres and investment in capital Human.
