Female forum in Beirut that re -draws the features of the Arab digital space

The forum collected dozens of content makers from various Arab countries, in addition to journalists and work activists over the past years in producing feminist, creative and influential digital content, with the aim of confronting traditional narratives and restoring digital spaces from a perspective that establishes the rights of women.
The Executive Director of the “Point” Foundation, Alia Awada, opened the work of the forum, stressing that this event has become an essential annual station, and said: “Despite the war on Gaza and Lebanon that prevented us from meeting last year, we are here to complete the road, and to prove that the digital voice is able to move the awareness of society and change public opinion,” noting that the digital content has become an effective tool to raise issues of silence.
The speech of the director of the “Abaad” organization, Ghida Anani, came to confirm that the partnership with a “point” reflects a successful model for communicating women’s voices and enhancing cognitive cognitive production, while the representative of the Dutch embassy in Beirut Mariki and responds to the importance of the forum as a platform for networking and building a more comprehensive digital space for women.
The event included dialogue sessions, workshops, and TED TALK style that spanned nine in the morning until six thirty in the evening, carried titles related to women’s content in crises, artificial intelligence and women’s sounds, and advice for rapid spread through digital platforms.
The journalist Carmen Joukhdar, a correspondent of Al -Jazeera in the south, which was injured during its field coverage, was also honored, in addition to honoring the Palestinian content maker Bisan Odeh, who prevented the war in Gaza without its presence.
About fifty manufacturers from the Arab world participated, and the event was attended by more than 500 people, along with online posts, amid a remarkable interaction throughout the sessions.
The forum concluded its work by emphasizing the need to continue supporting Arab content makers and journalists, and to perpetuate the presence of women in the digital scene for a more fair and comprehensive space.
