The President of the State and the Prime Minister of Georgia discuss the relations of the two countries within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, discussed today with Irkli Cobachidza, Prime Minister of the Republic of Georgia. The paths of cooperation between the two countries and the opportunities for their development, especially in the investment, economic and agricultural fields, renewable energy, sustainability and other vital aspects that receive common attention within their development plans and in a way that brings together growth and prosperity over their people. This is within the framework of the comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two countries.

This came during the session of the talks held by His Highness – at the headquarters of the Georgian government in the capital, Tbilisi – with the Prime Minister as part of the official visit made by His Highness to Georgia.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues and issues of common concern, foremost of which are efforts to consolidate the reasons for peace, security and development in the region and the world. In this context, His Highness affirmed the UAE’s keenness to enhance its development partnerships with the Caucasus countries in order to establish stability and peace for the benefit of all its peoples, based on its firm belief that peace is the main pillar of achieving growth and prosperity for societies and countries.

His Highness pointed out that the comprehensive economic partnership agreement signed by the two countries during the year 2023 represents a qualitative shift in the path of their economic cooperation, stressing the state’s keenness to continue achieving the goals of the agreement in the interest of mutual development, based on its approach based on building development partnerships that achieve common interests for all.

For his part, the Georgian Prime Minister welcomed His Highness the President of the State, expressing his confidence that this visit will give a strong momentum to the path of joint cooperation.

He affirmed his country’s interest in expanding its cooperation base and diversifying it with the UAE and benefiting from its inspiring development model to serve their mutual interests and achieve sustainable economic prosperity.

The two sides expressed their aspiration that the coming period witnesses more development of Emirati -Georgian relations to advance the sustainable development in the two countries in light of the availability of many ingredients that enhance the achievement of these aspirations, especially in the fields of economy, renewable energy and other vital aspects.

His Highness the President of the State and the Prime Minister of Georgia also witnessed the exchange of an agreement between Eagle Hills – Abu Dhabi and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development in Georgia.

The agreement, Mohammed bin Ali Al -Abbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills, and from the Georgian side Kfrefshevili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development.

The talks were attended by the accompanying delegation of His Highness the President of the State, which includes His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidency for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State and a number of ministers and senior state officials, along with a number of ministers and officials in Georgia.
