South Korea exports risely 13.5% in the first 20 days of September

On September 22 / WAM / Data on Monday showed that South Korea’s exports increased by 13.5% over the previous year in the first 20 days of this month.
The value of the issued shipments reached 40.12 billion US dollars from 1 to 20 September, compared to 35.36 billion US dollars that were recorded during the same period last year, according to the data of the Korean Customs Authority.
The data showed that imports increased by 9.9% year on year to reach 38.22 billion US dollars during the period, which led to a trade surplus of $ 1.9 billion.
In August, exports, the country’s main economic growth engine, increased by 1.3% on an annual basis to $ 58.4 billion, thanks to the strong demand for semiconductors.
