Abdullah bin Zayed leads the state delegation at the high -level international conference of the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of a two -state solution

New York, September 23/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, headed the UAE delegation at the “high -level international conference of the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two -state solution”, which was held in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in its eighties.
This conference emphasizes the importance of supporting the international community to establish an independent, sovereign Palestinian state, within internationally recognized borders that coexist with Israel in peace, stability and security.
The UAE believes that peace cannot be achieved in the region until a sovereign independent Palestinian state lives alongside Israel in peace, stability and dignity. The two -state solution is the basis for integrating Israel regionally, and it is the only way to achieve the permanent peace and stability of the Palestinian and Israeli peoples and the entire region.
The high participation in the work of the conference, in parallel with the increasing international recognition of the State of Palestine contributes to enhancing the efforts of the international community aimed at achieving a fair and permanent peace in the region, and renews the affirmation of the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to self -determination.
The UAE welcomes the recent international confessions of the State of Palestine, which emphasizes a common vision that the only way to exceed decades of conflict and destruction is to achieve progress towards establishing two independent states living alongside in constant peace.
The UAE appreciated the sincere efforts made by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, in leading this conference and supporting its outputs.
The UAE has participated in the sponsorship of the draft resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly before the conference and voted alongside 142 countries in favor of the adoption of “New York Declaration on the peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and the implementation of a two -state solution.”
The UAE emphasized that it will remain an active partner in supporting the aspirations of the Palestinian people, and will continue to work with its regional and international partners to reach a fair and sustainable settlement that ends the cycle of conflict, and paves the way for a more stable and prosperous future for all the peoples of the region.
