"Finance"and"Pioneers " They sign a memorandum of understanding to support small and medium enterprises

Dubai, September 23 / WAM / The Ministry of Finance signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah Foundation to support entrepreneurial projects “Rowad”, which is affiliated with the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah, to enhance joint cooperation in the field of supporting national projects and empowering entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises.
This step comes in line with the targets of the national campaign for entrepreneurship -the Emirates, the capital of entrepreneurs in the world, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the State, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God bless him”, with the aim of consolidating the UAE’s position as a global destination for entrepreneurship, and providing all ways of support for Emirati youth to benefit from the unique economic environment provided by the state through an integrated group of specialized initiatives and programs.
The memorandum came within the framework of the UAE’s efforts to improve the entrepreneurship system and expand the base of private sector participation in economic development, in a way that enhances the integration of federal and local efforts to enable national projects to contribute to achieving economic growth and innovation, support digital transformation and job creation.
The memorandum was signed in Dubai, His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al -Mahmoud, Head of the Department of Economic Development in Sharjah, in the presence of His Excellency Maryam Mohamed Al -Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Government Financial Management Sector, Nadia Sultan Ali, Director of the Government Procurement Platform in the Ministry of Finance, and Fatima Hassan Al Ali, Director of the Sharjah Foundation to support entrepreneurial projects “Pioneers” by assignment and a number of specialists in the ministry.
The Memorandum of Understanding aims to provide opportunities for the owners of national entrepreneurial projects to participate in the government purchasing system, as well as supporting innovation and enhancing the role of entrepreneurs in developing leadership projects capable of competing in the local market and thus improving the quality of local production, and setting practical mechanisms for cooperation between the two parties in the areas of training and rehabilitation, and exchanging experiences, information and statistics.
The Memorandum of Understanding seeks to employ the common capabilities to enable entrepreneurs to benefit from available business opportunities, and to support the sustainability of their projects in a way that contributes to diversifying the national economy, as well as organizing training workshops on the privileges granted and mechanisms for registration and participation in federal government tenders.
His Excellency Younis Haji Al -Khoury stated that the signing of this memo embodies the vision of the Ministry of Finance in supporting national projects and empowering entrepreneurs, and opening new horizons for entrepreneurs and creators to be real partners in the economic development process, describing the memo as a practical translation of the campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, “God bless him” to support entrepreneurship and embodies the Ministry’s endeavor to employ its partnerships The strategy to empower young people and turn their aspirations into successful projects capable of competing regionally and globally.
The Ministry of Finance’s confidence stressed that investing in entrepreneurs is an investment in the future of the state, which enhances the diversity of the economy and creates sustainable job opportunities.
He stressed that the Ministry of Finance paid great attention to enabling small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs, through multiple programs and initiatives through the formulation of policies and incentives supporting the creation of opportunities to attract and encourage small and medium -sized companies and entrepreneurs to participate in purchasing opportunities, and in line with the government’s tendencies in the bureaucracy program by facilitating registration procedures on the platform, which contributed to the registration of more than 600 suppliers of small installations And the middle on the digital purchasing platform since the date of the launch of the platform … indicating that these efforts contributed to creating a stimulating business environment, which gives national projects the opportunity to grow and expand, and transforms creative ideas into successful and sustainable projects.
He explained that the achievements achieved by the government purchasing platform represent a model for innovation and transparency and contribute to facilitating procedures and increasing the opportunities of national and pioneering projects to participate in government supplies and through which the Ministry of Finance affirms its commitment to work with partners in various institutions to support the business environment and enhance the role of national competencies in the comprehensive development process.
For his part, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al -Mahmoud stressed that the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Finance constitutes an important qualitative and new step that reflects the commitment of the Sharjah Foundation to support entrepreneurial projects “Rawad” to enable its members to citizens who have small and medium enterprises, and expanding the circle of attendance of their business at the state level in line with the directions of good leadership and ambitious and growing economic visions at the federal and local levels in the state.
He pointed out that this strategic partnership with the Ministry of Finance paves the way to enhance and provide more support provided to the Entrepreneurship Environment in the Emirate of Sharjah and will contribute to expanding the scope of the participation of small and medium -sized national projects in the national economy system, and allowing them to integrate more into government value chains, reflecting the vital role that these projects play in advancing sustainable economic development.
He added that the Foundation, and within its various strategic partnerships with various governmental and federal bodies, participates in an obligation with the Ministry of Economy and Tourism in the National Campaign for Entrepreneurship launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, under the slogan “Emirates … the capital of entrepreneurs in the world”, a new station that will enhance the UAE’s position as a preferred global destination for entrepreneurial projects.
He noted that integration and coordination are the best way to build a balanced economy capable of facing challenges, investing opportunities and diversifying services and products that are in the interest of society and rise to the levels of the quality of the life of all its members.
