"Supreme Energy" In Dubai, the emirate’s goals are reviewed to reduce emissions and adopt the UAE Energy Prize winners

Dubai, September 24/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Energy Council in Dubai, chaired the ninetieth meeting of the Council, which was held hypothetically, in the presence of His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice -President of the Council.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Ahmed Butti Al -Muhairbi, Secretary -General of the Council, and members of the Council are Marwan bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, His Excellency Abdullah Bin Kalban, Managing Director of Emirates International Aluminum Company, His Excellency Hussein Sultan Lootah, Acting CEO of Enock Group, Juan Freyle, Director General of the Dubai Petroleum Corporation and Dubai Equipment Authority “DOSP”, and Mona Al -Osaimi, CEO of the sector Strategy and institutional governance in the Roads and Transport Authority.
The Council reviewed the strategic goals of the Emirate of Dubai in following up and reducing carbon emissions evaluation, in order to support the achievement of the carbon neutrality strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai, and adopted the measurement of greenhouse gas emissions for 2024.

The Council also adopted the list of winners in the Emirates Energy Award 2025, which honors best practices and projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability at the region level.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al -Tayer said that our goal is to support the sustainability road map and achieve the targets of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the carbon neutrality strategy 2050 for the Emirate of Dubai, which contributes to reaching 100% of the productive capacity of energy from clean sources by 2050, and we attach great importance to adopting best practices and advanced technologies that raise the efficiency of resource use and support the process of sustainable development In the emirate, in line with the national initiatives and strategies of the UAE.
For his part, His Excellency Ahmed Butti Al -Muhairbi said that the Council adopted two important regulatory frameworks for the petroleum products trade sector in Dubai, which are the policy of safety in the trade of petroleum products that aim to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and environmental protection, in addition to the organizational framework for the trade of petroleum products that provide comprehensive governance mechanisms to enhance transparency, efficiency and compliance in this sector.
