International Trade Movement
Within the framework of supporting international trade movement, the Authority highlighted two main services that represent an important pillar in facilitating supply chains, which are the transit transportation service and deposit areas.
It provides transit transportation service. “Transit” is the possibility of transporting goods across the territory of the Kingdom to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council via land, sea and air ports, which enhances the Kingdom’s role as an important trade corridor linking regional markets and contributes to accelerating the movement of goods between countries.
Storage of goods
As for the deposit areas, they allow importers and exporters to store goods inside designated warehouses with the suspension of customs duties and taxes, until they are cleared for local use or re-exported outside the Kingdom, which gives Companies have greater operational and financial flexibility in managing their business operations.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority confirmed that these initiatives reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to developing the logistics sector in accordance with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which contributes to supporting the national economy and enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics platform linking the continents of Asia, Europe and Africa.
