Dubai Chambers look forward to ways to enhance economic cooperation with Australia

Dubai, September 24 / WAM / Dubai Chambers discussed the prospects for enhancing economic cooperation between Dubai and Australia, during a meeting with an Australian delegation headed by His Excellency Roslin Bings, Minister of Finance, Trade, Employment and Training in the Australian state of Queensland.
The meeting dealt with ways to develop the movement of trade and bilateral investments between Dubai and the state of Queensland Australian with a focus on sectors of common concern, and the capabilities provided by Dubai to Australian companies wishing to expand the markets of the Middle East, Africa and South Asia are reviewed, by taking advantage of the elements of the competitive emirate, foremost of which is the advanced infrastructure, and economic legislation supporting the growth Business.
Non -oil trade between Dubai and Australia during the year 2024 exceeded the value of 13.1 billion dirhams, 8% on an annual basis.
The meeting, which was held today at the headquarters of Dubai Chamber, His Excellency Yahya Lootah, Vice -Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, was attended by Radwan Jadawat Australia Ambassador to the State and His Excellency Brinee Hills, Australian Consul General in Dubai, and a number of other officials.
He stressed, Vice -Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, to ensure the development of bridges of communication with international partners, and to discuss new cooperation opportunities that contribute to supporting business societies and stimulating international trade growth, pointing out that the Australian state of Queensland represents an important economic partner, and we look forward to building our bilateral relations and pushing them towards broader horizons from exploring new areas of investment and trade.
And 250 new Australian companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce membership during the first half of this year, bringing the total number of active Australian companies registered in the room membership to 1,594 companies at the end of the first half of 2025.
