The Kremlin responds to Trump: Russia is a bear, not a tiger

Today, the Kremlin responded to statements by US President Donald Trump, in which he described Russia as a “paper tiger”, stressing that it is “able to defend its interests.”

The Kremlin refused to describe the American President of Russia as a “paper tiger”, pointing out that “Russia is a bear, not a tiger.”

Today, the Kremlin confirmed that Russia has no alternative to continuing its broad attack in Ukraine in February 2022.

“We continue our own military operation to ensure our interests and achieve the goals (…) set by our country’s president from the beginning. We do so for the present and future of our country, and for many future generations. Therefore, we have no alternative.”

On the other hand, the Kremlin considered that the results of the rapprochement between Washington and Moscow, which Donald Trump started “almost non -existent”, after a sudden change in the position of the American president who attacked Russia and supported Ukraine.

“In our (Russian -American) relations, there is a path that aims to remove the factors of discontent (…), but it slowly progresses and its results are almost non -existent,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

“Russia maintains its economic stability,” the Kremlin spokesman told Radio Radio.

Yesterday, US President Donald Trump said he believed that Ukraine is able to restore all its territory from Russia, noting that Kiev has to move now in light of what he described as “major” economic crises facing Moscow, in a sudden rhetoric in favor of Ukraine.

“Putin and Russia are facing huge economic problems, and this is Ukraine’s time to move,” Trump wrote on his platform “Truth Social”. He added: “I think that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is able to fight and restore all its lands in its original form.”

For its part, the European Union’s foreign policy coordinator, Kaya Callas, considered that Trump’s statements are “strong and unprecedented in this way,” noting that the new position enhances the unity of understanding between Washington and Europe.

French President Emmanuel Macron also praised what he described as a noticeable shift in the position of the US President towards Ukraine, saying: “I am welcome that the President of the United States has believed in the ability of Ukraine.”
