"Bahraini Minister of Transport"Self -mobility is a real opportunity to rethink how cities work
Dubai, September 24 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Communications and Communications in the Kingdom of Bahrain, confirmed in his main speech, entitled (Building smarter and more sustainable transport systems), that the Dubai International Self -Driving Conference 2025 is one of the initiatives that constitute a qualitative platform that allows the world to explore new horizons, and imagine innovative paths, to formulate a more sustainable, efficient and comprehensive future in the field Mobility.
This came in a major speech delivered by His Excellency during the activities of the fourth session of the Dubai World Self -Driving Conference, which is organized by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai under the slogan “Re -definition of transportation: the path towards self -movement”, and stated that self -movement is not only a technological development, but rather a real opportunity to rethink how cities work, the growth of their economies, and the contributions of societies in reducing the environmental imprint, as the future that is We seek it based on an integrated system based on flexible policies, advanced technology, sustainable investment, and close cooperation between all partners, in a manner that guarantees responsible and safe innovation.
He explained that the Kingdom of Bahrain lay the foundations for building such an integrated system through a flexible legislative environment, a global digital infrastructure, and a firm government commitment that establishes Bahrain’s position as a pioneering regional center for the next generation of mobility solutions.
His Excellency emphasized that converting aspirations into reality requires two main elements: experimental programs that prove their usefulness in the real world, sustainable investments that support their continuity, and from this standpoint, the Kingdom of Bahrain is currently exploring the establishment of dedicated experimental areas, such as smart logistical corridors, advanced connection projects, in addition to studying the capabilities of developing devices dedicated to self -driving vehicles in other strategic areas.
