Children fall into the trap of drug

The head of the Dubai Drug Prosecutor’s Assistant Prosecution, Counselor Abdullah Saleh Al -Raisi, said that drug abuse is an prepared disease, and it can hit a whole family if one of its members is afflicted and the condition is not dealt with properly.

He added on the sidelines of a symposium organized by the Public Prosecution in Dubai, under the title “Legal Chat”, that among the cases recorded by the prosecution to a father and three children, including a 16 -year -old daughter, who has been all proven that they are using narcotic substances.

He stressed the need to pay attention to the behavior of children, especially at an early age, and their awareness of the dangers of obtaining any unknown drugs or drugs from their colleagues, or to make the error of leaving the medical drugs listed in the table of drugs that parents use for health reasons, according to licensed medical prescriptions, such as Tramadol, in open places inside the house, so that they do not fall easily in the hands of children.

In detail, Counselor Abdullah Saleh Al -Raisi said that drug addiction within the one -family framework is possible, due to errors in which adults make and affected by the young, pointing out that the repeated usually affected the younger brother with his older brother, and trying to imitate him in abuse, but there are cases of children who fell into the trap of drugs because of one of their parents.

He added that among the cases that he dealt with, and the revelation of this problem was an issue in which a father and three of his sons were involved, two young men in the early twenties and a 16 -year -old girl.

He pointed out that the problem with this is that the abuser father cannot set an example for his children, and he cannot control them if they decide to imitate him, such as the situation referred to, as it is undoubtedly the main reason for his children’s involvement in the trap of abuse.

He pointed out that the law was applied to the daughter who did not exceed 16 years of age and referred to the Family and Events Prosecution, and she was sure to age, but the problem remains in the impact of the negative father on his children and the difficulty of containing the disease later on the family scale.

The main stressed the need for parents to realize that the methods of promoting drugs have changed, and they became covered in a more attractive way for children, especially in adolescence, as well as in the form of energy drinks, and then comes the role of the family in educating and containing their children, and getting to know their friends.

He pointed out that the presence of Ibn Madin within the family represents a danger to others, so it is necessary to deal with caution if this happens, and help him overcome his ordeal and recover, while taking care to limit his impact on his brothers.

He pointed out that there are some negative aspects that must be addressed at an early age, such as smoking the “VIB” by adolescents and children inside and outside schools, pointing out that despite the prohibition of selling it without eighteen, they find a way to obtain it, as well as the neglect of some parents in smoking it in front of their children, which tempts them to imitate their families, especially in light of the attractiveness of these tools and selling them in different shapes.

He explained that the oils that are smoked sometimes are mixed with types of drugs, and that the mere teenagers’ involvement in their use in these age levels may be a prelude to worse results in the future.

He continued that one of the negative behaviors that may lead to children to use is that parents do not restrict the controls of taking the drugs listed in the drug schedule inside the house, pointing out that analgesics such as Tramadol may be acted with a prescription for the father or mother, but parents leave them in open places or are easy to reach the hands of their children, which leads to their use.

He revealed that there are cases of users of a young age for drugs such as LaRika or Tramadol, and when we ask them about their source of obtaining them, they say that the mother or father suffers from disc a disease, and he uses it with a prescription, stressing that this puts the father under the responsibility.

It is noteworthy that among the cases recorded by the Dubai Police for a 14 -year -old student, his school colleague complained to him from headaches and he presented him with a “tramadol” pill, so the smart colleague took the initiative to inform the school administration that informed the police, and by investigating the incident it was found that the mother of the accused teenager is a doctor, while his father Tramadol was used as a treatment, and his mother has said to his father: She left the treatment box in front of her children, so her son decided to try it as a curiosity.

He stressed that the healthy culture of children must be entrenched and important, instead of parents a reason to harm them, they must educate them not to obtain any drugs from their colleagues even if they suffer from headache or any other symptoms, there are those who accept a pill from his friend on the pretext that he brought it from a state, and is very effective, and helps to stay up late and increases the focus, but it is a cause of addiction.

He stated that the parents should tell the children that if they feel a headache, they must resort to the school or university clinic, and not to accept any medicines permanently from another person, even if it is not drugs that can harm him differently.

The main said that one of the wrong practices within the family framework is also the indulgence of the son’s overnight outside the house, even if his relatives or friends have, because the pattern of education in his parents ’house may be more disciplined than others even if he is in his uncle’s house, indicating that many problems occur due to indulgence in these matters.

Ibn is unable to recover because of his father

The issues in which members of one family were involved in drug use included an incident in which a father and his son were involved in the use of an anesthetic, and they were arrested together inside the house, and it was found that they were under the influence of abuse, and the police tried to help the son recover more than once, but he returns to drugs whenever he was close to his father.

The investigations of the Public Prosecution revealed that information received by the General Administration of Drug Control in Dubai Police that the father and the son have precedents in drug use, and that they are still taking it, and then a plan and raids of their house were developed after the prosecution’s permission and found inside the house a white paper suspected of being saturated with drugs, and this was later confirmed through the exam Abuse, other tools related to this crime.

By asking the father if he provided his son with narcotic substances, he denied the accusation, as the son denied that his source was his father, and indicated that they obtained narcotic substances from a person of the nationality of an Asian state.

The witness from the General Administration of Narcotics Control explained that the result of examination of the father’s sample corresponding to the son’s sample, pointing out that the administration tried to help the son by treating him from abuse, but he returns to drugs when his father is at home.

By asking the accused in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, he denied the accusation of facilitation, and stated that he does not provide his son with any narcotic substances, and he does not know that he is taking, indicating that he obtained the drugs that he had found from a person from the nationality of an Asian state who turns money to him in exchange for sending him through social media a geographical location in which drugs are buried.

For its part, after consideration of the lawsuit, the Criminal Court ended in the insufficient evidence that condemns the father by facilitating the son’s abuse, especially in light of the denial of the accused and his son in all stages of the lawsuit that the father facilitated the abuse of his son, ruled his innocence, and the Court of Appeal supported the ruling.

To that, the Dubai Criminal Court sentenced the father on charges of taking narcotic substances that included a paper saturated with a mental effect, and ruled his imprisonment for two years, so he appealed against the ruling before the courts of appeal and discrimination that supported the ruling.
