Seoul and Washington are looking for $ 350 billion investments

Seoul on September 25 / WAM / South Korea and the United States held talks in New York to finish the finishing touches on a framework trade agreement, including Seoul’s pledge to invest $ 350 billion in the United States.
According to the Korean Ministry of Finance, Finance Minister Co Yun-Chol, with US Treasury Secretary Scott Besent, discussed the details of the huge investments and a proposal to create a mechanism for exchange of currencies between the two countries as a preventive measure for the stability of the foreign exchange market.
The “Yonhap” news agency reported that these ministerial talks, which were held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, came after a meeting between South Korean President Lee J. Mong and the US Treasury Secretary.
The Presidential Office quoted the President to me to expect progress in commercial negotiations to serve the interests of the two countries, while the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the negotiations are still continuing.
