Fujairah Chamber discuss ways to enhance trade relations with the private sector in Uganda

Fujairah on September 25/ WAM/ His Excellency Sheikh Saeed bin Surur Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, affirmed the Chamber’s keenness to enhance its commercial and economic relations with the African continent’s countries within the UAE’s approach to strengthening its relations with all its commercial partners around the world.
This came during his reception at the Chamber’s headquarters today, His Excellency Zanoum Kibidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to the state in the presence of His Excellency both Surur Hamad Al -Zuhari, Vice -Chairman and Tariq Muhammad Al -Hinai, member of the Board of Directors and the authority of all Handasi, Director General of the Chamber.
During the meeting, ways to enhance trade relations and explore new opportunities to enhance the cooperation between the private sector in Fujairah and Uganda, and to open a channel for communication between business owners to exchange information about available investment opportunities and the possibility of concluding commercial partnerships that benefit both parties.
On his part, His Excellency Sultan Al -Handani reviewed the capabilities of the Economic and Development Emirate of Fujairah, noting that the distinguished geographical location of the emirate and its openness to the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean and the continuous modernization of its integrated infrastructure made it an ideal commercial gate at the regional and global levels.
He added that the Fujairah site and its great capabilities in storing and refining oil are its people, to be the second in the world in the field of supplying ships with fuel, explaining that the Emirate of Fujairah provides an encouraging investment environment, especially in the areas of chemical industries, logistics services, tourism and mining.
He pointed out that the emirate and its proximity to its port and its international airport facilitates companies and merchants export and demolishing operations, stressing that Fujairah, with its distinguished geographical location, is a vital window for Uganda to stimulate its trade with the countries of the Indian subcontinent, East Asian countries and Europe.
For his part, the Ambassador affirmed his country’s keenness to enhance relations with the UAE because of its openness to the world and its wide capabilities and experiences in the field of trade, services and advanced infrastructure and its security and economic stability.
He praised the economic and civilizational developments taking place in the Emirate of Fujairah and reviewed the economic ingredients in his country, and pointed out that agriculture constitutes the main element of its economy and one of its most important exports is coffee, tea, cotton and copper.
He said that the business owners in his country are looking to strengthen relations with their counterparts in the Emirate of Fujairah, especially in the fields of tourism and trade and the possibility of establishing commercial partnerships in the field of mining and tourism.
