Gaza – The closure of four additional hospitals amid the continued Israeli aggression

This came in the words of the organization’s spokesman, Tariq Yassarific, during a press conference held in Geneva on Friday, where he indicated that the total number of hospitals operating in the entire Gaza Strip is now 14 hospitals only, and none of them work its full card.

In Gaza City, 16 medical points and 11 primary health care centers were forced to suspend or stop their services, and the situation in the remaining eight hospitals and one field hospital in the city is critical, where medical teams suffer from “Extreme pressure” Because of the flow of injuries caused by Israeli raids, in addition to treating other patients.

The World Health Organization confirmed that Gaza City is formed “vertebral column” For the health system in the Strip, where there are nearly half of the hospitals and field hospitals, while hospitals in southern Gaza are suffering from extreme pressure and cannot absorb more patients.

This development comes at a time when the Israeli army continues its attack on the city, issuing repeated evacuation orders for societies, which led to the displacement of hundreds of thousands of population and damage to health facilities.

Mr. Yassarific said that the displacement orders affected “Hundreds of health facilities, and even if hospitals are not required to evacuate, there is difficulty in accessing, and there is violence in neighboring places, which may lead to stopping them.”

He emphasized that 11 out of 12 attacks on health care facilities between 7 and 17 September took place in Gaza City, while the other attack occurred in Khan Yunis.

He told reporters: “More violence means only more wounded. This means more victims and deaths, and it also means the difficulty of arrival. Gaza residents suffer from multiple displays, and there is a lack of medical supplies, and there are problems in reaching all of the humanitarian workers and health workers, as well as patients.”

The World Health Organization spokesman renewed its invitation to evacuate thousands of patients and wounded who are in a serious condition and need a speedy specialized care.

He said: “More than 15,000 people need evacuation for medical reasons, and evacuation operations are going very slowly. Once again, we can only appeal to the ceasefire, and allow the freedom of access to unimaginance, so that we can support the remainder of the health system in Gaza with medical supplies, medical emergency teams, and everything else.”
