"International Atomic Energy" There is no crisis in the fuel of nuclear stations and inventories sufficient for the current century

Moscow, September 27 / WAM / Mikhail Shodakov, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, confirmed that the world -discovered uranium reserves are sufficient to supply nuclear power plants with fuel until the end of the twenty -first century, denying any indications of an emergency crisis or a supply case.
In statements reported by the Russian “TASS” agency, Shodakov explained during the “Global Atomic Energy Week” in Moscow that mining operations are linked to market prices, and that the decisive factor remains the cost of electricity production, which is compatible with Alexei Lakhachev’s statements, general manager of “Rosatom”.
He said that geological exploration works are continuing and periodically revealing new deposits around the world, which enhances the stability of the nuclear energy sector in the long term.
