“South Cement” sign a contract with “Energy Rationalization Solutions” with 4 million riyals annually
The southern region cement company announced "South Cement"Establishing and signing a solar energy purchase agreement from Energy Solutions Company, last Thursday. "Saudi Arabia trading": The duration of the agreement is 25 years, and the implementation will be at the Bisha Cement Factory, one of the company’s factories. The agreement is built on the basis of energy purchase from the Energy Solutions Company at a cost of less than the cost of the current electricity generation for the company and the southern region cement company will not need funding to implement the project, indicating that it will not bear any capital or operational expenses, after obtaining the necessary approvals from the relevant authorities. />
It is expected that the power generation system will be operated in the third quarter of 2026, and according to the company’s initial estimates, the effect resulting from the cost reduction in the emergence will gradually start from the first year of the date of operation and the value of the financial impact will be determined according to the energy prices consumed from the project at the time.
