Israel is “very close” to a peace agreement in Gaza

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Israel and others are “very close” to reaching an agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip.

Trump, who was standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, stated that the agreement will include Arab countries and should help achieve broader peace in the Middle East.

“We are at least close close to. I think we have passed the stage of extreme approach … and I want to thank Bibi (Netanyahu) for taking a positive move and doing a good job,” Trump told reporters.
