Abu Dhabi, September 30 / WAM / Al -Ittihad Trains for Passenger Services signed a strategic agreement with “Kiolis International” with the aim of establishing a joint company responsible for operating passenger trains in 2026 amid expectations that the number of passengers through the Union train network reached more than 36 million passengers by 2030.
Lawrence Prosita, international CEO of the Kiolis Global Group, confirmed its pride in the strategic partnership that was announced between the Federation’s developed and operating company for the National Railways Network in the UAE and the leading French Kiolis company in passenger transport services.
Bruceita said, in a statement to Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the launch of the second edition of the exhibition and the International Conference on Railways, Transport and Infrastructure “Global Rail 2025” today in Abu Dhabi, “We are proud of our strategic partnership with the Federation trains and we will work to benefit from its advanced infrastructure through our experience in launching new operations and providing high -quality services to provide safe and sustainable transport solutions at a level The state.
She emphasized that this step represents a major station in the process of developing railway transport services in the country, noting that the joint project to be established will set new criteria for the experience of passengers by adopting international best practices and providing advanced services that enhance comfort and luxury.
Bruceita said that the partnership will contribute to supporting the goals of the UAE in the field of sustainability through environmentally friendly transport solutions and integrated operations, pointing out that the launch of passenger transport services via railways by 2026 will constitute a qualitative shift in the national transport sector and enhance the UAE’s position as a leading destination in future infrastructure.
