"The highest motherhood and childhood"Early childhood development is the cornerstone of the UAE’s national vision

New York on October 2 / WAM / His Excellency Al -Reem Bint Abdullah Al -Falasi, Secretary -General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, confirmed that the early childhood development sector in the UAE goes beyond being a sectoral issue, to form the cornerstone of the state’s national vision and a basic pillar of sustainable development and national progress.

This came during the participation of her happiness as a representative of the UAE at the first international summit for early childhood investment, which was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” in New York, on the sidelines of the work of the eighties of the United Nations General Assembly.

In her speech in the “government leadership” session, Al -Falasi indicated that this global dialogue and gathering puts early childhood at the heart of sustainable development efforts.

Her Excellency confirmed, during the session in which Conrad Saki, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education in Sierra Leone, and Dr. Yafigin Kodravits, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science in Ukraine, and Camilo Santana, Minister of Education in Brazil, and managed by Justin Van Fleet, President of Theirworld, participated that the wise leadership in the UAE gives a great priority to the strategies based on data and protection The rights of the child, through legislation such as the Wadima Law, which the state witnessed steady growth in the rates of joining kindergarten, as well as investing in the support of families and launching flexible initiatives in the workplace to support the working mother.

She also emphasized that mental health has in turn a clear priority, which was manifested in the Fatima Bint Mubarak Forum for Mental Health that was held last year, and international experts gathered and thousands participated in to enhance awareness in our societies, noting that the child data systems in Abu Dhabi recently received the recognition of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development “OECD” for its harmony with the internationally responsible data standards.

She said that the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood continues to coordinate strategies in the field of early childhood development and enable children’s participation, and is constantly seeking to ensure the contribution of the UAE experience in international dialogue, and enabling the institutions concerned in the different countries of the world to benefit from them and generalize them at the global level.

Al -Falasi called for hard work and with a collective and united will to face the upcoming challenges, and to give priority to quality for quantity, so that no child fails to knee, including children with determination, confirming the willingness of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in the UAE to share his journey, and his keenness to benefit from the experiences of others, and help in ensuring that investment in early childhood becomes a choice, but rather a need to achieve development Sustainable.

The first international summit for early childhood finance, hosted by the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF” and “Theirworld”, aims to raise the early childhood position on the global agenda, mobilize high -level support and mobilize at least one billion dollars for financing, enhance efficiency interventions and strengthen coordination between different sectors.
