"Nature Hama Council" It unites the efforts of the private sector and NGOs to build a positive economy for nature

Dubai, October 2 / WAM / The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment held today the third edition of the “Natural Prixs Councils – Private Sector and Third Sector”, headed by His Excellency Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
This council, which brought together private sector companies, non -governmental organizations, universities and scientific research centers, comes within the framework of preparations for the UAE hosting the World Conference to Conservation of Nature 2025 in Abu Dhabi, with the aim of accelerating the pace of the shift towards an economy that positively affects the nature.
The third version is a continuation of the success of the Council in the opening version held in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings, and the second version held in Dubai and united the visions of the government sector in integrating efforts to preserve nature at the heart of the development system of the UAE.
This version directed the focus towards the national innovation and influence engines, indicating the role of the private and third sectors in facing and finding solutions to the challenges of the environment and the current nature, and the inclusion of the efforts of the academic sectors and scientific research to solutions based on science, innovation and knowledge and increase its impact in a way that is reflected on sustainable economic growth and nature preservation.
The council, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in Dubai, aims to accelerate the pace of the shift towards an economy that positively affects nature by enhancing cooperation and moving forward in translating aspirations on the ground.
The Council seeks to highlight the benefits of positive strategies towards nature at the financial and operational levels and enhance the mental image of brands, with the aim of mobilizing capital on a large scale through innovative financing tools such as green bonds, carbon balances, and net asset value loans, while enabling private sector companies and non -governmental organizations to leadership with confidence and credibility in their fields of work.
His Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al -Dahhak stressed the importance of the pivotal role of the private and third sectors in implementing the country’s agenda related to climate and nature, as they are one of the most important pillars in the UAE development march, aiming to create a sustainable future for all.
She said that with the approaching global conference for the preservation of nature 2025, the “Nature Council of Nature” council in the Emirates again proved its ability to unify the various concerned authorities in both the private and third sector, explaining that by combining these two sectors, we were able to develop valuable visions about the integration of nature at the core of our business, and to expand the scope of existing solutions through the mechanisms of innovative financing, while harnessing technology to cause a positive impact We have seen a common desire to build cooperative platforms capable of creating a systematic change, and these concrete obligations will form a basic pillar of the leadership of our state at the World Conference for the Conservation of Nature 2025, which enhances our march towards a flexible and positive economy towards nature benefits the human and the planet together.
The council’s discussions centered on four strategic pillars, designed to direct the dialogue towards practical results, where the first dialogue round entitled “Leadership in the Audit era” discussed ways to move companies from the concept of social responsibility of companies to integrate biological diversity and eclipse flexibility in basic business models and supply chains, which enhances confidence in the brand and gives them a competitive advantage, in addition to the strategic role For non -governmental organizations, they have identified the most prominent market obstacles and opportunities to move towards a positive economy of nature.
As for the second round, entitled “Investment Challenge”, it focused on obstacles that prevent the transition by ground -based solutions from limited experimental projects to large -scale applications, where the attendees reviewed innovative financing mechanisms, from mixed financing to carbon balances, as they are necessary tools to reduce the risk of investment and attract private capital, in addition to the role of technology and data in proving the return on investment.
The third session entitled “Innovation and accountability” shed light on innovative business models, financing mechanisms, and modern technologies, as well as the necessary amendments to policies to support the transformation, as the participants emphasized the role of artificial intelligence and data analysis in measuring the results of biological diversity accurately, and proving the investment return of the efforts of sustainability, and enhancing the levels of transparency, taking into account the infrastructure necessary for the data And the role of society in achieving justice.
As for the closing session, entitled “Commitment to inheritance”, I referred the post -World Conference on Nature Conservation 2025, calling on the participants to bold cooperative initiatives that convert visions that resulted from the council today into a sustainable and concrete legacy of the UAE, and the attendees also discussed the clear practical pledges and pledges that the private sector and NGOs can adhere to and achieve.
Participants announced their commitment to effective investment, innovation and building partnerships for nature, in recognition of its fundamental role in achieving economic prosperity and community well -being in the long term.
The council set work frameworks for developable development partnerships between major companies, technological companies, financial institutions, and NGOs, with the aim of accelerating the implementation of positive solutions to nature.
Discussions have come out with a unified group of priorities and recommendations on policies, which will contribute to strengthening the UAE leadership role in the International Federation for Nature Preservation Conference, and will inspire discussions of preserving the global environment.
Participants stressed the importance of increasing awareness and educating society and youth about the environmental efforts and the true value of nature, and they pointed out that society’s awareness represents a major factor in facilitating the work of the private sector and academic and research sectors related to society, to implement sustainable projects, and ensure the reaping of their fruits, as members of society are the main guarantor of the success of initiatives and scientific research related to the environment and nature and their sustainability in the long run.
The Council stressed the need to enhance the mechanisms of coordination and cooperation between the various parties working in the field of environmental protection, nature and relevant sectors, as this aims to ensure integration between various projects and avoid double efforts, with the importance of building on experiences, initiatives and research implemented previously and facilitating the access of other parties to them to develop and benefit from them, which creates a sustainable course of innovation and development.
The Council concluded its work with compatibility between all participants on the strategic importance to highlight the efforts and achievements of the UAE as a unique development model based on nature, and provides practical and applicable solutions a balance between economic development and environmental protection.
This unified vision aims to enable the state to lead a constructive and influential global dialogue during the World Conference for the Conservation of Nature 2025.
