Abu Dhabi, October 3 / WAM / The Burjeel Institute of Oncology, one of the facilities affiliated with “Burjeel Holding”, launched a mobile “mammogram” truck under the slogan “Imprisonment for Life”, in conjunction with the global awareness month of breast cancer “pink”, as part of its initiatives to enhance awareness of breast cancer and provide early examination services for women in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
The mobile “mammogram” truck is characterized by modern medical equipment, including a high -resolution digital mammogram that allows tests in a comfortable and safe environment without the need to go to the hospital, where the tests are supervised by a female medical and technical team specializing in breast rays, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and enhances the feeling of comfort and privacy.
The campaign, which has the support of the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, aims to highlight the extreme importance of periodic tests for early detection of breast cancer, as an effective way to prevent and reduce health risks.
The pink caravan or the mobile clinic for a generation of different locations in the cities of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra will be required for the current months of October and November, to provide comprehensive examinations for women using mammogram technology.
The pink truck is scheduled to visit a number of institutions and bodies, from shopping centers, businesses, educational institutions, and schools.
