Conducting the draw for the Federation and UAE Futsal Cups

Dubai, January 20, 2020 – The UAE Football Association held, this evening, at its headquarters in Dubai, the draw ceremonies for the Federation Cup and the Emirates Futsal Cup for the 2025-2026 season, in the presence of representatives of the participating clubs.

The draw ceremony began, attended by Ibrahim Hassan Al-Nimr, member of the Football Association’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Futsal Committee.

By drawing the draw for the Emirates Futsal Cup, which divided the participating teams into two groups, the first group included: Al-Yarmouk, Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, Khor Fakkan, and Al-Bataeh, and the second group, Shabab Al-Ahly, Kalba, and Dibba Al-Hisn.

The first round matches of the Emirates Futsal Cup will be held next February 20, 24 and 28 in a one-round league system in the halls of the clubs mentioned first. The two teams that finish first and second in the two groups qualify for the semi-finals, which will be held in a home-and-away system on March 4 and 7, with the winners meeting in the final home-and-away match on March 10 and 13.

The draw for the Federation Cup determined the teams for the tournament’s matches from the round of 32 until the final match, and its matches were held in a single-match knockout system. If the original time ended in a tie, penalty kicks would be resorted directly to penalty kicks to determine the winning team.

The 32nd round of the Federation Cup will be held over the course of next February 10 and 11, with the participation of 14 teams that qualified from the preliminary qualifiers held last November, in addition to the three teams that qualified directly during the preliminary qualifier draw, along with all 15 First Division clubs.

The winning teams qualify for the quarter-finals scheduled to be held on March 2 and 3, while the quarter-finals will be held on March 11, the quarter-finals will be held on April 1, and the final match will be held on April 29.
