For the first time in the history of Japan … a woman holds the position of Prime Minister

Today, Saturday, the Liberal Democratic Liberal Party in Japan, the former Minister of Economic Security, Sanai Takaychi, head of the party, was elected, in preparation for the possibility of becoming the first prime minister.
Takaychi overcame four other candidates in the party’s elections and in the first round, 183 votes out of five candidates.
The Prime Minister’s election will be subject to the vote of Parliament, and if she wins, she will become the first woman to take over the position of Japan.
Sanai Takaychi, a former broadcaster, entered the world of politics in 1993 and won an independent seat in the House of Representatives, and joined the Liberal Democratic Party in 1996.
