Experts and officials told «Emirates Today», on the sidelines of the exhibition, organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, that the activities of the new session of the exhibition recorded a remarkable growth in offering initiatives related to sustainability support, pointing out that the real estate sector in the Emirates is witnessing significant growth during the recent period on real estate units that keep pace with sustainability standards, and in the form of motivating companies to expand in the real estate sector supported by plans Sustainability.
In detail, a member of the Organizing Committee and Chairman of the Sales and Logistics Committee said at the “Witix” exhibition, and the CEO of the Business and Human Resources Support Sector in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Dr. Youssef Ibrahim Al -Akraf, that “the activities of the 27th session of the (Witix) water, energy and environment technology exhibition witnessed a great demand from companies participating in the exhibition activities in offering and reviewing the initiatives supporting the sustainability sector.”

For his part, the CEO of Projects at Damac Real Estate, Mohamed Al -Tahaina, said that the company was offered through its participation in the exhibition activities various sustainability initiatives in the real estate sector, as the company invested about 23 million dirhams in green construction technologies, which included three -dimensional printing of non -concrete materials, the development of infrastructure for charging electric vehicles, and the provision of solar energy integration solutions. He pointed out that «the company recorded within the framework of waste management, an increase of 47.2% in recycling rates, and a decrease of 21% in public waste, and its water resources management has strengthened by treating 32.8 million gallons of wastewater, which contributed to reducing the dependence on fresh water for irrigation.
