Abu Dhabi, October 6/ WAM/ The UAE celebrates the “Emirates Civil Aviation Day”, based on a series of distinguished achievements achieved by the national aviation sector and its pivotal role as one of the most prominent shareholders in the global aviation industry.
According to a press release issued today by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, this year comes to form an exceptional station after the state won the membership of the International Civil Aviation Organization Council “ICAO” for the seventh time in a row, in a new confirmation of the influential presence of the state in formulating the future of civil aviation policies at the international level.
During the first eight months of 2025, the state airports received about 102.9 million passengers, achieving a growth rate of 5.3% compared to 97.9 million passengers during the same period in 2024, reflecting the sustainability of growth and the high competitiveness of the sector.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, Supreme Chairman and CEO of the UAE aviation and the group, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Authority, said that the Emirati aviation sector celebrates this year with multiple and exceptional achievements, not only at the local level, but globally, as state airports continue to grow and provide advanced services to travelers from all over the world.
