"Dubai Airports": "Dubai Aviation 2025" Exceeds all expectations

Dubai, 7 October / WAM / Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, confirmed that the Dubai Airshow 2025 will be bigger and better than any previous edition since its launch, considering the exhibition the most prominent event in the world in the field of aviation.
He explained in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, on the sidelines of the press conference for the Dubai Airshow 2025, that the exhibition constitutes a distinguished opportunity to showcase the latest aviation and space technologies next November, adding that it will be extremely important on the global calendar of events, during which many new technologies will be revealed, especially electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles, space technologies, and modern defensive measures across all pavilions of the exhibition.
Griffiths expected that Dubai International Airport would receive 95.3 million passengers during the current year 2025, which constitutes a new record for the airport, which has maintained its position as the largest international airport in the world during the past 11 years.
He added: “We believe that we will exceed the barrier of 100 million passengers during the next two years, and the number of passengers is expected to reach this number during the year 2027, and by the end of 2031, we expect the number to approach 115 million passengers, and in 2032, we will move to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) to receive about 124 million passengers.”
Regarding the construction projects at Al Maktoum International Airport, Griffiths confirmed that its development work is continuing, as he explained that the final designs are under preparation, stressing the close cooperation with Dubai Airports partners in aeronautical engineering projects to ensure the establishment of one of the greatest global airports.
Regarding the companies operating at Al Maktoum Airport, Griffiths pointed out that the airport has been operating since 2010, and primarily serves cargo flights and executive aircraft, in addition to a large number of charter flights and some scheduled operations.
