Onsal gold approaches 4 thousand dollars

New York on October 7/ WAM/ The gold ounce today approached the level of four thousand dollars at a new record level for gold prices 52 percent since the beginning of the year until now.

Gold rose in instant transactions 0.4 percent to $ 3978.01 an ounce by 1323 GMT after registering its highest level ever at $ 3985.48 earlier in the session.

The US gold futures for December delivery rose 0.6 percent to $ 4000.90, to exceed the level of four thousand dollars for the first time ever.
