Dubai, October 7 / WAM / Dubai Roads and Transport Authority obtained intellectual property for its “Dubai Traffix” program in the field of traffic engineering from the global organization “Global Benchmarking Network”, after its adoption and classification within the category of “seven stars”, as one of the best innovative global practices in this field.
The achievement reinforces Dubai’s world position among the best advanced engineering experiences, and confirms the authority’s ability to export its successful experiences to the cities of the world.
Hussein Al -Banna, Executive Director of the Traffic and Roads Corporation at the Authority, said that the “Dubai Traffix” program represents a qualitative leap in modern government systems in the field of traffic engineering, and a pivotal support for infrastructure systems, economics and major plans for modern cities, indicating that the program contributed to the adoption of more than four thousand studies of traffic effects of development projects, and the signing of 180 agreements with major entities Development for cooperation in implementing traffic solutions and infrastructure projects for roads and public transportation.
He added that the “Dubai Traffix” platform is an integrated digital system through which all procedures related to studying traffic effects, starting with estimating the uses of land and traffic, through the reviews related to the relevant authorities, lead to the issuance of final approvals in integration with the internal systems in the authority or external in the Dubai municipality, such as building permits system, in a way that enhances the interdependence between uses Lands and strategic plans for road projects and transport, and contribute to predicting traffic sizes and developing appropriate plans to accommodate them.
He explained that the program is the result of intense efforts that have continued over the past years, which resulted in an integrated digital system to study traffic impacts in modern cities, noting that the program is registered as an intellectual ownership of the Roads and Transport Authority with the Ministry of Economy since 2024, and it was classified by the International Jury in the World Organization within the “seven -star” category last March, which is the highest category in the world.
Al -Banna stressed that the authority continues to develop its engineering systems and programs in a way that establishes its global leadership in the field of easy and sustainable movement, noting that “Dubai Traffix” embodies the institutional values of the body based on innovation, teamwork and the pursuit of first positions in various fields.
