A medical team at Beni Suef Health Insurance restores hope to a child with hyaline osteoarthritis

The Medical Syndicate said that the medical team at Beni Suef Health Insurance Hospital succeeded in performing a delicate operation on a child with glass bones, to restore his ability to walk, and put an end to his suffering from multi-angle recurrence deformities and curvature around the knee joints.

The rare surgical operation was performed by a medical team led by Dr. Mohamed Sayed Al-Fakharani, consultant orthopedic surgeon at the hospital and who holds a doctorate in orthopedic and joint surgery, Kasr Al-Aini, with the participation of Dr. Hisham Aziz and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Fattah. (Fellow doctors), Dr. Ahmed Hassan, Dr. Ahmed Shaaban, and the anesthesia team, Dr. Thana Abdel Rahim – Consultant anesthetist and Dr. Maryam Ayman, in addition to the efforts of the nursing team: Ghada Halil and Menna Ahmed, and under the supervision of the head of nursing, Safaa Salama.

Dr. Muhammad Sayed Al-Fakharani, head of the medical team that performed the operation, explained that this surgery is one of the precise and rare operations, relying on the installation of a telescopic nail that can be expanded as the child grows without the need to change it, which represents one of the latest findings of modern medicine in dealing with such cases.
