Feel mercy as you apply the law

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, called on employees of the Sharjah government to facilitate the completion of their transactions for people, and directed them to transfer difficult-to-resolve transactions to the manager to solve them if he is able, or to submit them to His Highness for resolution.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah said, in a phone call via the “Direct Line” program: “How many people who face problems have the opportunity to speak on the Direct Line program? Let us hear their voices and address their problems? Also, how many employees work only according to the labor law, completely excluding mercy from work procedures. This employee can write a letter to the Ruler of Sharjah that the customer needs to consider, and God will reward him well for this.” Work, and we remind you of the honorable hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, “Whoever guides to goodness; He has a reward similar to the one who does it.”

His Highness added: “We send a message to employees in Sharjah and tell them: ‘When a customer comes to you and faces a problem and you see that there is no way out; You should contact your manager and ask him for help to solve this problem, so that he or the government can do that. We do not want to be strict in dealing with people’s problems and complicate matters even though they can be solved with one word. We call on our employees to put mercy before their eyes before they utter a single word, and to know that just as there is a law, there is also the spirit of the law, and to refer to us the matters that are difficult for them to solve, and to clear their sins before God. They leave the matter to us so that we commit ourselves before God to deal with it.”

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah said: “We follow people’s problems in all places and regions, and we seek to solve them in various ways. We have the “Mabra” program to address citizens’ problems while preserving their privacy. This is because there are some problems, such as “family problems,” for which covering them is part of the solution, because the spread of information about them opens the way for those who are disposed to interfere in them and escalate them… We also follow people’s problems through the “Direct Line” program. And “the courts” and “all government agencies,” and we do everything we can to solve them, whether with money, mediation, or advice. I talk to people on the phone, meet them in person, and give them advice to solve their problems. Two days ago, I was asking about the cases in the courts, and they told me about a case between a citizen and his mother that had reached the court, so I asked them to stop this case and not put the son and his mother as adversaries in front of each other. The court asked them to bring me the son, and when I met him I asked him: Why did you do that? I blamed him and he felt so remorseful that he cried and said, “Forgive me and I will do what you want me to do.” So I told him, “I want you to do what your mother wants, and I also want you to go now and kiss her feet and ask for her permission, and I will call your mother to make sure that she is satisfied with you.” We pray to God to grant happiness. And goodness and success to all people.”
