The Head of State and the Emir of Kuwait discuss fraternal relations and developments in the region

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” discussed with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the sisterly State of Kuwait, fraternal relations, various aspects of cooperation and joint work, and their level of development, especially in the developmental and economic fields, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and brings goodness and development to their peoples.

This came during a meeting with His Highness the President of the State, his brother His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at Bayan Palace, as part of the fraternal visit made by His Highness to Kuwait.

His Highness the Emir of Kuwait welcomed his brother, His Highness the President of the State, at the beginning of the meeting, and they exchanged friendly conversations that express the depth of the deep-rooted fraternal ties that bring together the leadership of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.

The meeting touched on a number of regional and international issues and developments, most notably the latest developments in the Middle East region. In this context, their Highnesses affirmed the two countries’ support for all initiatives and endeavors aimed at a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and establishing a comprehensive and just peace based on the “two-state solution” as it is the way to achieve stability in the region for the benefit of all its peoples and countries. They stressed the need to build on the recent increasing international recognition of the state. Their Highnesses also discussed the path of joint Gulf action, stressing the keenness of the two countries to support everything that would strengthen the process of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in order to achieve the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.

His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah hosted a luncheon in honor of His Highness the President and the accompanying delegation.

His Highness the President left Kuwait at the conclusion of his fraternal visit, where he was seen off at the Amiri Airport by His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait and a number of His Highnesses Sheikhs, His Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
