Foreign Minister: A goal "Peace summit" In Sharm El-Sheikh, follow-up on the implementation of the agreement to stop the war on Gaza

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Affairs of Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, confirmed that the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit’s primary goal is to announce the follow-up to the implementation of the agreement to stop the war on the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Abdel-Aty said – in an exclusive interview with the Egyptian Channel 1 on the sidelines of the Cairo Water Week – “The Sharm El-Sheikh Summit aims to emphasize that each party respects its pledges and obligations, especially with regard to the return of… Deployment and withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the full flow of relief and medical materials into the Gaza Strip, in addition to the release of Palestinian hostages, prisoners and detainees, and then the start of negotiations for the second phase.
He added that Egypt is determined to host an international conference for early recovery and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip, and this will be done in full coordination and cooperation with the United States.
He explained that the crossings will be opened. And with regard to the Egyptian position in facing water challenges, The Minister stressed that the Egyptian position was confirmed by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in his speech today on the occasion of the eighth Water Week 2025, which is that Egypt will not, under any circumstances, allow its water security or its existential interests to be compromised.
