1.3 billion dirhams to develop Dubai Healthcare City

The Dubai Healthcare City Authority, the regulator and supervisor of business development in Dubai Healthcare City, announced a development plan worth 1.3 billion dirhams to add new projects to Dubai Healthcare City, Phase 1, in the Oud Metha area in Dubai, in a way that strengthens the emirate’s position as a leading destination for healthcare, and confirms its attractiveness for global investments in this vital sector, as the plan begins with the construction of an office building that holds a platinum rating – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. (LEED), along with a medical complex and supporting infrastructure, with the aim of stimulating the growth of the medical system and providing modern facilities that keep pace with the requirements of the future.

Through continuous development, we continue to consolidate the position of Dubai Healthcare City as a leading destination in the field of health care and well-being in the region and the world.”
The prestigious P&T Architects and Engineers Limited designed the platinum-rated office building – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), which is the first of its kind in Dubai Healthcare City. The building extends over an area of 13,000 square meters, distributed between three lower and nine upper floors. The building includes office and commercial spaces on the ground floor, setting a new standard for sustainable urban development and keeping pace with the highest international standards.
The Specialized Medical Complex, which was designed by the Design and Architecture Office (DAR) in Dubai, stands out as a pivotal project extending over an area of 5,800 square metres. It consists of two lower floors and five upper floors, and provides flexible spaces to meet the needs of surgical operating rooms, laboratories, outpatient clinics, various medical units, and others.
To provide an integrated and comfortable experience, the Dubai Healthcare City Authority intends to establish multi-storey parking lots, equipped with electric car charging stations, and a smart parking system integrated with “Salik”, taking into account comprehensive access standards for all segments of society, as the new system provides long-term flexibility to keep pace with continuous changes in the requirements of health care providers and the needs of patients.
For his part, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, Alaa Al-Manini, said: “Our priority is to provide infrastructure that serves the community, supports growth and enhances confidence among healthcare providers and investors. Here comes the role of these projects that will ensure greater ease of access to health services, and enhance sustainability and professionalism in the Dubai Healthcare City community, ensuring the consecration of its role as one of the most prominent investment attractive destinations in the region.”
Construction is scheduled to begin next December, with delivery scheduled for November 2027.
