Announcing the launch in Dubai "GITEX AI Serbia" In 2027

Dubai, October 13, 2017 – It was announced today that GITEX, the largest network of technology and artificial intelligence events in the world, has officially entered Southeast Europe.

Dubai World Trade Center and Coon International, in strategic partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, are scheduled to organize “GITEX AI Serbia” events at the Exhibition Grounds Complex in Belgrade on May 26 and 27, 2027.
This was announced by Marko Čadj, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia during the opening day of GITEX Global 2025 held in Dubai. He said that holding “GITEX AI Serbia” in conjunction with Expo 2027 is an unprecedented opportunity to showcase our country’s digital transformation journey on the global stage, and to unite regional innovation with an international community of investors, partners and visionaries, and in conjunction with… “Expo” and the expected number of visitors to both events, we hope to achieve a better position for our country in economic and business circles.
In turn, Trixie Le Mermand, Executive Vice President at Dubai World Trade Centre, CEO of Coon International and global organizer of GITEX events, said: “GITEX AI Serbia” embodies our vision of enabling bold innovation that shapes the future on every continent, and building cross-border cooperation, which is crucial in the decade of artificial intelligence.
Hosting the first edition of GITEX during Expo 2027 Belgrade was considered a smart step to activate the soft power of technology and artificial intelligence, mobilize cooperation between countries, and open participation in creating a new global model.
In keeping with Expo 2027 Belgrade’s slogan “Playing for Humanity: Sport and Music for All,” Serbia’s National Innovation Walk reflects the values ​​of creativity, unity and human connections that will characterize this highly anticipated event.
South-Eastern Europe is witnessing a remarkable digital transformation driven by strong government reform, increasing investments in ICT, and active private sector innovation.
