Jordanian Foreign Ministry: We hope that the Sharm El-Sheikh summit will contribute to achieving peace based on the two-state solution

 The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs expressed its aspiration that the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit would contribute to ending the war on the Gaza Strip, introducing adequate and sustainable aid, complete Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, and beginning to implement practical steps to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

The Ministry’s official spokesman, Fouad Al-Majali, reiterated, in a statement today, Tuesday, the emphasis. Jordan appreciates the role of US President Donald Trump and his efforts in achieving the agreement, ending the war, reconstructing Gaza, preventing the displacement of the Palestinian people, advancing comprehensive peace, and announcing that he will not allow the annexation of the West Bank. The legitimate Palestinian people, foremost of which is their right to end the occupation and embody an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
