Following the wave of criticism, the artist Edward issued an explanatory statement through his account. The official Facebook post said: "When the preparation team informed me of the presence of the artist Azza Saeed, I was very happy, because I love to honor my colleagues who are absent from the scene, but when I discovered during the dialogue that she had a problem, I respected this and closed the paragraph before its due date out of respect for her, and we will delete the video from the channel’s page."
Edward confirmed that the episode was live, which prevented him from interfering or modifying any part of it, adding: "If the episode had been recorded, I would not have shown it in the first place. I am not seeking trend or exploitation, and my intention was completely good."
He also described what happened as: "Unintentional misjudgment"He apologized to the audience and to everyone who felt disturbed, stressing that respect is given to the guests and the audience "An undisputed priority"
