In a related context, the Authority called for the optimal use of data to ensure integration between agencies and avoid duplication, which contributes to improving the efficiency of the operational response to the needs of the sector, stressing the importance of enabling those with authority to analyze data and making decisions based on it at all strategic and operational levels, noting that this contributes to developing institutional performance and achieving the sector’s goals with greater efficiency.

The policy also stipulates strengthening the culture of data within establishments, by raising awareness of the importance of its management and developing national capabilities in this field, in addition to establishing the principle of data reliability by ensuring its high quality, accuracy and consistency, including It builds confidence in the information managed within the military industrial sector.

The policy obligated establishments operating in the sector to a set of regulatory obligations to ensure the effective application of data quality requirements.

The Authority stressed the necessity of defining data quality requirements based on the results of initial assessments and actual business needs, while setting clear rules for data quality that correspond to its various dimensions such as accuracy, completeness, uniqueness, consistency, timeliness, and validity.

The policy required establishments to register Data quality problems, analyzing their root causes and developing appropriate plans to address them, in addition to conducting periodic audits that include technical and administrative data quality requirements and rules to ensure continuous compliance.

The Authority called on establishments to provide training and awareness programs directed to stakeholders concerned with data management, to enhance the culture of quality and ensure permanent compliance with governance standards. Approved.

Regulatory provisions and controls

According to the document, the General Authority for Military Industries is responsible for monitoring compliance with the implementation of the data quality policy within the sector, and taking the necessary measures to ensure its implementation in the required manner.

The Authority explained that it has the authority to impose appropriate administrative penalties according to the type and nature of the violation, as these penalties begin with an administrative warning that includes details of the violation and the procedure.
