The journalist Ahmed Schubert spoke about the experience of national coaches Rabie Yassin and Hassan Shehata with the Egyptian teams, in the context of his comment on the failure of the youth team in the World Cup tournament and being eliminated as the winner of their group, compared to the success of their Moroccan counterpart in reaching the final match in the tournament.
Schubert explained, during his radio program “With Schubert,” broadcast on the radio. "On Sport FM", said that the last achievement achieved by the Egyptian youth team was during the era of Captain Rabie Yassin, who roamed the villages and hamlets in search of real football talent, thus forming a generation that achieved the African Youth Championship, but we do not continue the success.
He added that the first Egyptian team, led by Captain Hassan Shehata, achieved a historic achievement by winning the African Youth Championship. African Nations three times in a row, but Egyptian football was unable to maintain the momentum of those successes or build on them in the following years.
Schubert concluded his speech by emphasizing that the problem does not lie in the scarcity of talent, but rather in the absence of vision and continuing to work on scientific foundations that guarantee the sustainability of achievements.
