The Ruler of Sharjah receives the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research

Sharjah, October 16 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, received today at Budaiya Palace, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness welcomed His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Awar and the accompanying delegation, praising the efforts made by various parties within the Education and Human Development Council and society to improve the higher education system in the country, which contributes to qualifying cadres with the best knowledge and skills.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah explained that education is the basic element in the development that countries seek through institutions, universities, schools, programs and initiatives, and that people seek it on the personal level by learning, reading, and studying academic programs in prestigious universities and institutes.

His Highness stressed that the stability of educational systems according to fixed and precise programs and structures is reflected in the quality of academic programs and ensures the continued consolidation of sound sciences, knowledge and skills for successive generations, with the need to benefit from modern educational technologies and methods in a way that does not affect the quality of the education process, the delivery of knowledge and the educational interaction between the teacher and the student.

During the meeting, His Highness learned about the plans and programs of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research that support universities and academies in the country to provide the best academic programs within an advanced system that keeps pace with the ambitious directions of the wise leadership.

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar appreciated the directives and continued support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for the higher education and scientific research system in the country, praising the achievements made by Sharjah’s universities and academies in higher education, which His Highness leads with a keen vision and scientific keenness to ensure the achievement of the best scientific and research outcomes.

The meeting was attended by: His Excellency Hajar Ahmed Al Dhahli, Secretary General of the Education, Human Development and Society Council, Dr. Mansour Mohammed bin Nassar, Head of the Legal Department of the Government of Sharjah, Dr. Muhaddith Yahya Al Hashimi, President of the Sharjah Education Academy, and members of the Executive Committee of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research.
