"Emirates Franchise Association" It opens its pavilion at the International Franchise Exhibition in Istanbul

Istanbul, October 16 / WAM / The Emirates Franchise Association opened its pavilion as part of the activities of the twenty-third session of the International Franchise and Commercial Agencies Exhibition, which is being held in Istanbul during the period from October 16 to 20.
The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and a number of chambers of commerce in the country will participate in the pavilion, along with 14 local companies of entrepreneurs and Emirati brand owners operating in the commercial franchising sector.
The pavilion was opened by His Excellency Saeed Thani Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, in the presence of His Excellency Nour Al Tamimi, President of the Emirates Franchise Association, His Excellency Maher Al Alili, Vice President of the Association, and a number of officials and representatives of economic and commercial authorities from the two countries.
His Excellency Saeed Thani Al Dhaheri stressed that the participation of the Emirates Franchise Association in this international event to represent the UAE reflects the depth of the growing economic relations between the UAE and friendly Turkey and the keenness of their leadership to develop a comprehensive and continuous economic partnership.
He pointed out that the participation embodies the vital role of the Emirati private sector, which aims to expand the presence of national brands globally, and enhance the exchange of experiences in the field of commercial franchising, which is one of the most important engines of economic growth.
For her part, Her Excellency Nour Al Tamimi said that the exhibition is an important global platform to introduce Emirati brands and highlight the quality of their products and services, and reflects the UAE’s keenness to enhance the competitiveness of the private sector and expand the horizons of economic and investment cooperation with various countries.
She stressed that the Association believes in the importance of active participation in these exhibitions as a strategic opportunity to enhance the Emirati presence in foreign markets, explore opportunities for commercial expansion, and build qualitative partnerships that support business sustainability and growth of the national economy, in line with the vision of the wise leadership in supporting entrepreneurship and consolidating the UAE’s position as a global center for commercial excellence and innovation.
She explained that the Emirates Franchise Association will organize, during its participation in the exhibition throughout its days, a series of bilateral meetings and field visits to a number of Turkish companies operating in the commercial franchising sector, as part of its efforts to enhance joint cooperation and exchange experiences on best practices in developing brands and managing commercial franchises.
The visit program includes a meeting of the association delegation with the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry to review the prospects for cooperation between the two sides and discuss opportunities to expand commercial and investment partnerships between Emirati and Turkish institutions in the retail, hospitality, food and services sectors, in a way that strengthens bilateral economic relations and supports the growth and development of the commercial franchising sector in the two countries.
The commercial franchising sector is one of the most prominent engines of economic growth and expansion in the UAE and the region, and is witnessing rapid growth that reflects the development of the business environment and the attractiveness of the UAE market.
The sector has registered more than 600 franchise companies and more than 2,000 brands operating under the franchise system, with total annual revenues exceeding 27 billion US dollars, and a growth rate of approximately 15% annually.
The franchising sector is booming across the region, with franchise agreements in the Gulf region rising by nearly 25% between 2023 and 2024.
In contrast, the size of the commercial franchising sector in Türkiye is estimated at about 55 billion US dollars, distributed among more than 3,700 brands operating in multiple sectors.
